PHYSTA® Clinical Summary

+

Physta® is backed by an extensive body of scientific research comprising 28 published papers and 13 preclinical studies conducted since 2002, spanning peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings and pilot studies. The evidence base covers a wide range of benefit areas, including testosterone and men's health, stress management, strength and exercise recovery, non-doping safety, male and female fertility, women's health and menopause, immune function, and emerging research into microbiome health and sleep.

Key studies include Talbott et al. (2013), a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in moderately stressed adults (100 mg dose), which found:

  • Reduced tension (-11%), anger (-12%), and confusion (-15%) compared to baseline

  • Testosterone levels 37% higher than placebo

  • Cortisol levels 16% lower than placebo

And Chinnappan et al. (2021), a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multicentre trial in ageing men, which found:

  • Significant increase in total and free testosterone, plus DHEA, versus placebo

  • Improved sexual health, reduced aging symptoms and fatigue, and significant improvement in muscle tone

  • Benefits observed as early as 2 weeks (200 mg dose) and 4 weeks (100 mg dose)

Other key findings across the portfolio include significant testosterone increases in both ageing and young men (Tambi 2011; Chan 2021), improvements in strength and muscle recovery (Hamzah 2002/2003; Leitão 2021), enhanced immune response (George 2016), and quality-of-life benefits in menopausal women (Chinnappan 2020; Muniandy 2025).
